Can computer simulations improve fly casting?
Welcome to an interest presentation, Wednesday night August 21, 17.00-19.00 at Åhus Resort. You will learn more about how to use simulation to improve the perfect cast.
Mr Hans Ekander; M.Sc Mech. Eng. Chalmers Univ. of Tech. Gothenburg, Lic. Eng. Appl. Mech., Royal Inst. Tech., Stockholm will
perform in a presentation customized for you. The presentation will be followed by an
open forum on issues related to competitive
fly casting.
The presentation will cover the
following topics:
- Current status on simulation models for fly casting.
- How to move between “the simulation world” and “the real world”.
- Some possibilities presented by a modern simulation program.
- Research experience: MIT (turbulence modeling), industrial applications e.g. ABB, Saab Kockums, Alstom Power, NKT.
- My passions in life: My family, Fly fishing, Physics and Simulation.
- Has developed a physically based simulation model for fly casting during 10 years.
